The bittern which strangely has stripes and spots and sounds like a water going down the drain...is nowhere near as much fun as the green heron. The green heron teases fish to the surface by luring them with bits of leaves and twigs....very smart fella.
At first we thought it was an American Bittern that's our frequent visitor, but it's a Green Heron.
